Today, over half a million parents grieve the loss of their child in the past decade due to opioids, primarily fentanyl. Many were teens—most were young adults in their 20s and 30s.
Today, fentanyl is the number one killer in the U.S. of those between the ages of 18 and 45. That's more than cancer, more than heart disease, more than gun homicides and auto accidents combined.
Never in our nation's history have we known a public health crisis of this kind, where the younger generation are victims.
This crisis calls for urgent action.
Walk For Lives is our response to this crisis. It’s a manifesto of the concerned—a declaration that fentanyl isn’t lethargic and doesn’t discriminate between neighborhoods, political parties, or tax brackets.
Led by the survivors—parents, siblings, grandparents, other family members, and friends—the day will begin with walks in communities across the nation and end with live stage events in our nation's largest cities: New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
Local yet national, our goal is to organize 1,000 walks, tens of thousands unified in purpose, in streets across the nation, with the stage events captured digitally to reach millions.

As former DEA Head of Operations and UAF Advisory Board Member Ray Donovan recently told me, "There is nothing more
important or meaningful than to give a voice to these parents."
I couldn't agree more with Ray.
On behalf of those who have lost a loved one and in memory of those lost, we now begin organizing for September 2025.
