Hey there!

I’m Risto Laaksonen. I moved to the USA from Finland decades ago, and I’m now a proud naturalized citizen of this amazing country. I’m passionate about America, its people, and my faith as a devoted Christian.

Lately, I’ve been feeling concerned about the growing divisions and the shift towards collectivism. That’s why I launched a project to create something truly special—a platform to bring Americans together for a common cause. Along with some extraordinary folks who share my vision, we’ve been hard at work on a fresh take on social media.

Fast forward two years, and Re:Public is here! We’ve teamed up with some fantastic influencers, organizations, and partners who are helping us spread the word and grow our community. While Re:Public isn’t perfect yet, it’s always evolving, thanks to the dedication of our incredible team and without any venture capital or third-party investors. I’m the sole investor, but the real credit goes to the passionate individuals driving this forward.

Re:Public is all about spotlighting local heroes—those amazing individuals and organizations making a difference in America. Our mission is to unite the country and make life better for all Americans.
