Nippon Steel wants the U.S. Iron Ore reserves, wants to prevent US Steel and the Steelworkers Union from blocking imports into the U.S. market, and with MitsuI Trading company will dump the excess Chinese and Japanese steel production into the U.S. as soon as they get control of US Steel.

Trump Administration approval of the Nippon Steel take over of U.S. Steel will be a betrayal of every word Trump has uttered about "U.S.Allies" ripping off America since he started his presidential efforts in 2016.

U.S. Steel should provide FULL DISCLOSURE OF their Iron Ore holdings and their relative quality before getting any okay to sell U.S. steel to anyone, let alone the company THAT BUILT China' s Baoshan Steel complex. Data from US Steel's 2024 Annual Report, which requires significantly greater clarification, states that:

"[US Steel] owns approximately 43,000 acres of real estate assets, either held for development or managed, in Alabama, California, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas." [These acres are likely to be America's best iron ore mines]. ...

...The iron ore facilities at Minntac and Keetac contain approximately 900 million short tons of indicated resources and probable reserves and [the US Steel] share of recoverable reserves at the Hibbing joint venture is approximately 4 million short tons. ...All of U. S. Steel’s coal requirements for our cokemaking facilities are purchased from outside sources....All of Flat-Rolled’s limestone requirements and USSE’s lime and limestone requirements are purchased from outside sources...
