ORANGE CITY, Fla. —

Multiple homes in the Orange County neighborhood of Zellwood were damaged after a drive-by shooting early Monday.

At least three houses were hit, including one homeowner who requested not to be identified.

One bullet went through his front door screen, a curtain and the sliding glass door and ended up lodged in the wooden mantel inside his Zellwood home.

"How lucky do you feel to be alive?" Michelle Meredith of WESH 2 News asked.

"Very lucky. Because I could have accidentally been in front of the trajectory of it," the Zellwood resident said.

The windshield of his neighbor's truck was also hit by the 17 rounds of passing gunfire.

The Zellwood neighborhood residents are not sure why someone would drive by and shoot at their homes.

Residents and law enforcement are seeking answers.

Multiple homeowners have images of the suspects. Law enforcement hopes one holds a clue that leads to an arrest.
