In a partnership between community organizations and private developers in Delray Beach, there was born an affordable housing project named "We are Home". This project is targeted towards private land that is owned by families in 'The Set', a thousand-acre Black historic community in Delray Beach.

This project restores hope to families that were affected during the COVID-19 pandemic, where housing prices were raised among these communities that caused many people to go into poverty and resort to government assistance. The pandemic coupled with recent gentrification efforts have caused great strife among the members of The Set, as well as all over the nation.

Three homes have been built so far that are at the proper affordable market price. In order to defend this project from hungry redevelopers, the Delray Beach Community Development Corporation (CDC) and the Shared Future Foundation have initiated this growing project in order to protect these people.
