We are seeing a growing and disturbing trend across America—vehicles operating on public roads using fake Mexican license plates, lacking proper regional codes and other legal markers. These plates are not merely decorative or novelty—they may indicate a criminal disregard for both U.S. and Mexican law, and in some cases may serve as intimidation or coded messages.

❗ A Personal Word of Caution

My grandfather was killed on the highway by a driver with valid Mexican plates who was intoxicated, illegally present in the United States, and had no state-issued driver's license. That incident changed my family forever, and it fuels my commitment to raise public awareness.

So when we now see vehicles in our town bearing threatening or coded plates—such as one locally that simply reads “QUIET”—it deserves more than a passing glance. It may be a warning, a provocation, or a signal that those in the vehicle are engaged in illegal or even terror-related activity. This is especially relevant in a time when ICE agents and federal law enforcement are actively being targeted across the nation.

🚙 The Nature of the Threat

These vehicles often appear as aggressive monster trucks, with plates that may be mocking, hostile, or deliberately vague. A plate reading "QUIET" could be an attempt to:

Threaten lawful citizens,
Deter law enforcement from engagement, or
Signal participation in illegal operations.

These fake or altered plates could constitute multiple criminal violations, including fraud, impersonation of foreign authority, obstruction of justice, and vehicle registration evasion.

⚖️ What Should You Do?

✅ 1. Be Aware – but Stay Lawful

Do NOT confront or intervene personally.
Even if the vehicle appears threatening or criminal, never engage in vigilante action. These encounters may be traps or political stunts, and confronting such individuals could endanger you or others.

✅ 2. Know the Legal Limits of Action

In some U.S. states, citizens’ arrest laws may allow action if a felony is witnessed—but this is rare and very risky.
State militias (if you're part of one) may only lawfully operate under command of the Governor or President. You must be uniformed and recognized under law.
Unilateral action outside that chain of command is not protected and could lead to prosecution.

✅ 3. Understand the Role of Your Sheriff

As confirmed on sheriffs.org, your local elected Sheriff is the highest constitutional authority in your county. Sheriffs can choose to disregard state laws or judicial orders that conflict with the Constitution.
A Sheriff may lawfully form a local posse, a type of civil militia, under his sole authority to respond to public threats.

Knowing your Sheriff's policies and approach is crucial. Contact your Sheriff's department and share suspicious activity—they may interpret such plates as probable cause, especially if tied to ongoing criminal patterns.

If you encounter such a vehicle:

Record identifying details safely (photo, license plate, location, date/time).
Report to your local Sheriff's Department immediately.
